As part of the V-League Women’s Division, (정관장) CheongKwanJang and the Korea Expressway Corporation have engaged in a deal that has resulted in the strengthening of their respective rosters.
According to the official announcement, the 정관장 Red Sparks made the following announcement on the third of the month: “We have traded Kim Se-in (OH, 21), Ha Hyo-rim (S, 26), and the second-round pick of the 2024-2025 rookie draft to the Korea Expressway Corporation Hi-Pass Volleyball Team, and acquired Lee Ye-dam (MB, 21) and Shin Eun-ji (OP, 19).”
The Korea Expressway Corporation selected Lee Ye-dam with the fourth overall choice in the first round of the rookie draft for the 2021-22 season. Lee Ye-dam had previously transferred to 정관장. According to Jeong Gwan-jang, “We anticipate that with his exceptional offensive prowess, he will be able to fill the void in the middle blocker position left by the retirement of veteran Han Song-i.” Han Song-i’s retirement from the position was announced earlier this year.
Shin Eun-ji, who is also making the transfer, has participated in thirteen games since the beginning of the first season. He was picked by the Korea Expressway Corporation as the seventh choice in the first round of the rookie draft for the 2023-2024 season. In addition, he was a member of the squad that competed in the 2023 U19 World Volleyball Championships, where he finished in second place in the serves category and brought the team the most points. During the introduction, Jeong Gwan-jang stated, “He is a player who possesses strengths in both attack and serve.”
Sein Kim, who is going to be joining the Korea Expressway Corporation, was selected by Pepper Savings Bank with the fifth choice in the first round of the rookie draft for the 2021-2022 season. After spending some time at the Korea Expressway Corporation, he eventually transferred to 정관장. It was during the second round of the playoffs for the 2023-2024 season that he emerged as 정관장’s key striker. He finished with 9 points and a reception efficiency of 64.7%, demonstrating his strengths in both attack and defense.

Ha Hyo-rim, who is also transferring, was selected sixth overall in the second round of the rookie draft for the 2016-2017 season by the Korea Expressway Corporation. He then moved on to 정관장 for the 2018-2019 season. Her participation in 88 games and 211 sets up till the 2021-2022 season was a testament to her exceptional managerial abilities, which she displayed in each and every match. She became a member of the Suwon City Hall volleyball team in 2022, and she went on to lead them to win in the Unemployment Volleyball Federation Tournament in 2023, where they also won the Setter Award.
According to a statement released by a spokesman for both teams, “This trade was made to address each other’s needs ahead of the new season.” The spokesperson went on to say, “We hope that all players will excel in their new teams.”
